Lots of positivity and a little dissapointment

Today I was in the studio again with the lovely Jennifer Conley doing a Bollywood inspired shoot with the beautiful model Arianna Kailan. Going in, I wasn’t sure what to expect from this girl. But I must say that she was more than a joy to work with, and her poses where on point, all the time. This is exactly the kind of attitude you would want a model to have. We started makeup at 5 and she landed her last shot at 6, and all her frames where amazing. I could definitely tell that she has watched an episode of Top Model or two.  At only 17, she models better than some older models I’ve worked with.  And I can’t wait to shoot with her again.

Brii Superstar was in the studio as well. Although I didn’t get to work with her...yet. I am looking forward to doing so in the future. I got to spy on her portfolio while she was shooting, and her pics are fierce. Not your average model when it comes to height, she takes some amazing photographs. And she’s funny as well! Check out her YouTube page http://www.youtube.com/user/BriiStarrTV and see for yourself.

This being said, the atmosphere in the studio, was light hearted and fun.
When models come on set and they give it all that they have in front of the lens, it is hard for the photographer to drop the camera. As you can see in the picture, Jennifer Conley (the one in the pink T) was in the moment If I didn’t mention that I had to go to work tonight, we would still be there.  Maybe it was a good thing that I forgot my second case at home.  If I had it with me, we would probably be shooting our fourth theme right now. It’s always a great feeling to be surrounded by people that are driven, career oriented and see your vision as clearly as you do.

I had another makeup gig with my superstar friend Blandine tommorow.  I had the chance to do her makeup for her performance at the Gladstone Hotel 2 weeks ago. But unfortunatly  this one was cancelledL. I am a little disappointed, especially after taking all my makeup things to work, bringing a change of clothes and shampooing my brushes in the ladies room.  But that’s show business for ya. She is still my favourite up and coming artist. Check out the work I’ve done on her “take it back” video http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=yCFzawkTjt0 .  Blandine is going far and when she does...I would be her makeup artist! J

Maybe its god’s way of saying: ”Look superwoman, give it a rest”. I’ve had 1 hour sleep before work and have now officially past my 15 hour stage. It seems that I always put way too much on my plate.  I was sick most of February with the flu followed by a  stomach virus, and should be taking it a little easier.  But there is no rest for the weary. If not sleeping gets me where I want to be. Then I will continue to do what I gotta do. Hmmm...since Blandine cancelled, maybe I do have time for another shoot with JC tommorow? Naaaah I need a little me-time  and catch up on my ZZzzzz.
