Backstage with Rapper Belly and Actress/Model Veronica London

Last month I had the opportunity to work with another amazing rapper this side of the border.
 Not only is he a Juno award winner and four time Much Music nominee, but has also scored a Gold selling album. Most recently known for his collaberation with rapper Snoop Dogg for the song entitled
'I drink, I smoke', rapper Belly was in Toronto filiming another video for his mixtape The Greatest dream I never Had. 

The video losing my religion is based upon  a girl, who was ones on top of the world in the music biz, loses it all and ends up going insane. The female role was played by non other then the beautiful model/actress Veronica London.

 Not only is Veronica a Maxim model but has also starred in many films and TV series, including Jane Doe along side Vivica A. Fox.




Sporting newly colored fiery red hair and played her role to  perfectly! From the a singer in the booth to playing a junky in the alleyways, she definetly rocked it.

 Belly played a minimal roll on this perticular day shooting only one scene in the studio. He did however stop for a photograph with me before his speedy exit.

It was definitely an interesting evening to say the least, but as always I had a great time. Special thanks goes out to Aisha Chacha of owner of Chacha Cosmetics and my personal hairstylist,  BG owner of Hair Wee Go for assisting me with the hair styling.

In other news: I will be makeup sponsor for the biggest male revue to hit the city, brought in part by my favorite clothing line Alter Ego Clothing.

Word around town is I might be travelling  for another video and hosting a beauty workshop and giving back to the community!... Stay tuned.

The Bead for Health launch party.

Bead for Health has been a great success for Nikki Clarke. The Bead for Health book is already circulating in Chapters and Indigo bookstores throughout Canada. And her one-of-a-kind jewelry designs have made appearances on ETalk, and Rogers Television. Nikki has been super busy, hosting the Live with Trevor an Nikki show every Thursday,  aiding in organizing the Aroni awards and traveling across the country. So busy in fact, that the her book launch and recent Bead for Health store, had yet to be celebrated the way it should be.

What better way to celebrate then with friends, beautiful models and good food?!

With dim red lighting, and the aromatic scent of fresh roasted coffee beans wafting through the air, 

one couldn't ask for a more comfortable setting then that of Rendez-vous restaurant.

After I got models Banita and Carly ready to present Nikki's latest jewels, I got the chance to take in not only the restaurants comfy setting, but the amazing food as well. Offering everything from familiar sweet cakes to authentic Ethiopian dishes, there was something to satisfy even the most critical palette.

It was also the second time I witnessed the Bead for Health jewelry disappear at such an alarming rate! I had my eye one the blue feathered earrings but before I could makeup my mind, a lady scooped theme up. Within two hours every last piece of jewelry were sold out.

Loads of people came out to support the book and store launching. Including founder of the Black Music Association and Nikki's Co-host Trevor Shelton and owner of The Fashion District Sherryl Lynn Petrie.

I had a great time, my models looked fab , scored a beautiful Bead for Health bracelet, and as always  to met some great new people.

Back stage with the Miss Eternity 2011 finalists

 The name screams pageant but, with a fushion of models, designers and fashion, its a model and designer competition like no one in Toronto has done before.  For the second year in a row, models compete in the Miss Eternity Fashion Showcase for the ultimate title of Miss Eternity 2011.

Invited to be one of the makeup artist on set for the promo shoot, I got to meet all the pretty models up close and personal. Some were shy and quiet, while others displayed moments of shear Diva-tude (not mentioning any names).

MafiaPhotography was on site as the photographer for the evening. Director/Co-ordinator Temo Primrose Gare was the best hostess, not only making sure the girls were fitted with the cutest summer dressed, but also insuring we were well fed.

I had a great time, mingling with the girls, some of who are fairly new at modelling and others who have been at it for years. From what I have seen so far the competition seems fierce!

 With a  such a diverse set of girls, the only way to decide a winner would be to go to the show.

Certified with Peter Jackson, Naughty by Nature and Director G-dot Solo

Peter Jackson is one of Canada's fastest rising hip hop artists. If you havent heard of him yet, you will very soon!  He has worked with Sizzla, Wu Tang, Obie Trice, Llyod Banks, Ray J, Drake, Kardinal Offishall, Joe Budden, Enur, Beenie Man, and Nas  (just to name a few). 


When I found out that G-Dot Solo was directing the video for Peter Jackson new single "Certified" with  Naughty by Nature, I had to jump on board! The weather couldnt be more perfect, as we all met up in a top secret location in the outskirts of Toronto. The set was filled with industry insiders, rapper PDollaz, Bandit, Photographer Courtney Nicole, Flight school clothing, the Eh-Team Management and the guys from Me studios, were all there to show support.

And ofcourse Treach from Naughty by Nature, was there for his cameo appearance. (Still looking absolutly gorgeous)

But the real star of the show was definetly the vintage Cadillac Escalade, as she lit up the curb (yes I said SHE, because this ride was sexy!!).

Accompanied by my new assistant Keisha, we got the the girls ready for their closeup.
