Logik Dat Lad is King of the Castle

 I Know what you might be thinking. Here we go, another rapper in a hip hop video.
But Logik dat Lad has a unique type of swag. He doesn't have chains hanging low, or a thug-style demeanor.   Instead he has a warm, and gentleman-like disposition, with lyrics that flow as naturally as the beads he was spotted wearing aroumd his neck.

As part of Cut Throats Entertainment,  he has opened for Wu Tang, KRS One, Joe Budden as well as fellow Canadian rapper Choclair. This time he has teamed up with female rapper Duch Dillinger for "Party Girl" off his Debut EP New School Cool, produced by RichKidd.

 When promoter Bills contacted me to do makeup for Logik's new video "Party girl" I was more then excited. I didn't know what to expect when I stepped on set that day. And im not sure if the models and other cast member did either as they waited patiently for the director to role tape.

I'm sure they thought they would be dancing and do the expected "video girl" thing. But when director Rome decided to role tape, they were asked to do Cartweels, backflips and dive headfirst into a bouncy castle! It was like Cirque de Soleil came to the backyard of Withby as Logik's "Party girl" track rocked the neigbourhood.

You know who else rocked it? Duch Dillinger, with firy red hair, platform heels and spiked gloves. Doesn't she remind you of a mix between Gwen Stephanie, Fergie and Lady Gaga???

Many came out for support , and KingCutt of Cut Throats Ent. provided custom sweaters for all the cast members .  Even Peter Jackson and producer Rich kidd came out to for their cameo.

Can Logik tell you that his debut album will reign supreme?? I think that will be up to the listeners to decide. But as you can see he did have the party girls bouncing.

 If this was the land of the New School Cool, then Logik Dat Lad is the King Of The Castle.

Mrs Makeup loves...Meagan Ashley and Jaymie Christine Ateah

Discovered by photographer Maxwell Itoonz, Meagan has a look both unique and familiar. With her short hair she strickingly resembles model Amber Rose. But her personality is far from the Diva attitude we've seen from that top model. Instead Meagan Ashley is friendly and very down to earth. After seeing Meagan's picture on facebook, I instantly recognized her standing in line at the bank. After making a brief introduction, I knew I had to have her for a shoot.

Jaymie Christine Ateah was a fellow student at Humber College. Both free-spirited and outspoken, sporting an edgy haircut, she looks allot like singer Courtney Love. Not only is she a makeup artist, but a great model as well. Seeing the work she did with photographer Courtney McIntosh, I could'nt help but pair her up with celebrity look-a-like Meagan.





We met up a week later for a outdoor photoshoot with photographer Jayson Warbucks. The makeup was kept simple, with nudes shadows and soft pinks. It was freezing outside, but they never complained. Looking at these pictures, one can never tell that they were ice cold.  It was -0 degrees out, yet they made it look like a summer day!

Unfortunatly if you would like to work with Jaymie, you might have to jump on a plane. Being an avid traveller, Jaymie is now in Australia on a extended stay.
As for  Meagan, she is taking a little break from modelling, while expecting her second bundle of joy. But for those who wish to capture mother nature in its prime, she is still willing to be photographed by the right candidate.
